“MeditativeStoryTelling” is encouraging greater communication and awakening inner potential in children of all ages.

Introduced by Erik Valdman who has been the teacher of Meditation and researched Inner Potential since 1999.

In 2009 as a trial,  Erik has introduced “meditative story telling” in Blaisdale Montessori School in one of the Upper Elementary Classes.

This was started to see if it would help with what we saw as a chronic social problem in the class. We started it not as the school was not convinced it would work.

The results for us have been astounding. The children involved that participated each week have stopped the problems altogether (it had been going on for about 4 years). We also began to notice that the children who were not involved in this particular matter were improving in other areas. Very academic were showing sides of a creative side.

There was more of a sense of co-operation, more of a sense of community, they are now empathetic towards each other, and the teacher feels they are also generally more accountable. The results from this have been very moving and impressive.

Now we can see a much larger potential for this type of work at Blaisdale Montessori School and in all schools.

It is our goal to bring it to all the Elementary children at Blaisdale Montessori School on a permanent basis and to lend support to children outside the school who may need it.

Erik has been researching and teaching “MeditativeStorytelling” & “Self Regulation Meditation” for both Adults and Kids for almost ten years. He will guide us towards awakening our hidden inner potential. All adults are invited. We are however opening up this event for children who are age 7 and up.
