What Are You Doing Saturday, April 4th?

In recent years we have quietly been developing “Meditative Story Telling” for Kids.

So, as a trial, for the past few months we introduced “Meditative Story Telling”, in Blaisdale Montessori School ( Blaisdale is one of the larges private schools in Canada, with over 1,300 students!)

I have been teaching a type of child friendly Meditation called “Meditative Storytelling” in one of our Upper Elementary Classes. This was started to see if it would help with what we saw as a chronic communication problem in the class.

We started it not convinced it would work…but something happened…

If you wish, you can watch a 10 minute video, with the surprising results… a moving story by Heather Wilson (The Principle of  Blaisdale Montessori School)

Welcome to Meditative Storytelling

Hello. My name is Erik Valdman. Have you been following my Blog at (www.ErikValdman.com)?  If you have, you may have read my January 22, 2009 post (Karma Secrets – Meditative Storytelling), where I shared one of my New Year’s resolutions, as well as, reintroduced “Meditative Storytelling” for children. (You can follow the link above for more details and background on this story)

Since January, we have been receiving many questions from parents and from teachers alike wondering how well the project was working…and more so, how can others implement “Meditative Storytelling” to help their kids understand and inspire better communication amongst themselves, with their teachers, and their parents. (As you may remember, the initial goal was to help resolve a bullying concern in one of the classes… what then evolved into a real tool to manage stress and anxiety, improve communication and gain greater understanding of others.)

If you ever had an interest in helping your children, or grandchildren to deal with today’s ever growing challenges, both at home and at school, if you are a teacher or a practitioner and want to apply “Meditative Storytelling” in your school or individual practice, I will gladly share my experiences with you. Please let me know, by entering your name at www.MeditativeStorytelling.com and I will send you all the latest updates, and share with you some of the most interesting and inspiring success stories as they happen.

Sincerely

Erik Valdman
